The usefulness of the <em>cookie<\/em> is that the web is able to remember your visit when you return to browse that page. Although many people do not know, <em>cookies<\/em> have been used for 20 years, when the first browsers for the World Wide Web appeared.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"oro mt35\">What is NOT a cookie?<\/h2>\n<p>It is not a virus, nor a Trojan, or a worm, or spam, or spyware, or open windows pop-up.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"oro mt35\">What information does a <em>cookie<\/em> store?<\/h2>\n<p><em>Cookies<\/em> usually do not store sensitive information about you, such as credit cards or bank details, photographs, your ID or personal information, etc. The data they keep are of a technical nature, personal preferences, personalization of contents, etc.<\/p>\n<p>The web server does not associate you as a person but your web browser. In fact, if you regularly browse with Internet Explorer and try to do it through the same website with Firefox or Chrome you will see that the web does not realize that it is the same person because it is actually associating the browser, not the person.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"oro mt35\">What kind of <em>cookies<\/em> are there?<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"azul\">\n<li>Technical <em>cookies<\/em>: These are the most basic and allow, among other things, to know when a human or an automated application is browsing, when an anonymous and registered user is browsing, basic tasks for the operation of any dynamic web.<\/li>\n<li>Analysis <em>cookies<\/em>: They collect information about the type of browsing you are doing, the sections you use most, products consulted, time zone of use, language, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Advertising <em>cookies<\/em>: They display advertising based on your browsing, country of origin, language, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"oro mt35\">What are our own and third-party <em>cookies<\/em>?<\/h2>\n<p><em>Own cookies<\/em> are those generated by the web page you are visiting and those of <em>third parties<\/em> are those generated by external services or providers such as Facebook, Twitter, Google, etc.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"oro mt35\">What happens if I disable the <em>cookies<\/em>?<\/h2>\n<p>To help you understand the consequences if you disable the <em>cookies<\/em> we show you some examples:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"azul\">\n<li>You can not share contents from that website on Facebook, Twitter or any other social network.<\/li>\n<li>The website will not be able to adapt the contents to your personal preferences, as it usually happens in online stores.<\/li>\n<li>You cannot access the personal area of that website, such as My account or My profile or My orders<\/li>\n<li>Online stores: It will be imposible to make purchases online, they will have to be done by phone or visiting the physical store if it exists.<\/li>\n<li>It will not be possible to customize your geographic preferences, such as a time zone, currency or language.<\/li>\n<li>The website will not be able to perform web analytics on visitors and traffic on the web, which will make it difficult for the web to be competitive.<\/li>\n<li>You cannot write on the blog, you cannot upload photos, post comments, rate or rate contents. The web will not be able to know if you are a human or an automated application that publishes <em>spam<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>It will not be possible to show sectoral advertising, which will reduce the advertising income of the web.<\/li>\n<li>All social networks use <em>cookies<\/em>, if you disable them you can not use any social network.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"oro mt35\">Can <em>cookies<\/em> be deleted?<\/h2>\n<p>Yes. Not only can be deleted but also blocked, in a general or particular way for a specific domain.<br \/>\nTo remove <em>cookies<\/em> from a website you must go to the configuration of your browser and there you can search the one associated to the domain in question and proceed to its removal.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"oro mt35\">Setting <em>cookies<\/em> for the most popular browsers<\/h2>\n<p>Here\u2019s how to access a specific <em>cookie<\/em> from the <strong>Chrome<\/strong> browser (these steps may vary depending on the browser version)<\/p>\n<ol class=\"azul mb20\">\n<li>Go to <em>Settings<\/em> or <em>Preferences<\/em> through the <em>File<\/em> menu or by clicking on the personalizatiion icon that appears at the top right. You will see different sections, click the option <em>Show advanced options<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Go to <em>privacy<\/em>, <em>Contents Settings<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Select <em>All cookies and site data<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>A list with all the <em>cookies<\/em> ordered by domain will appear. To make it easier for you to find the cookies of a specific, enter the address in full in the Search for cookies field.<\/li>\n<li>After making this filter, one or several lines with the <em>cookies<\/em> of the requested web appear on the screen.
